Last week in my 20s!!!

I vividly remember turning 10 - I was amazed to say I had lived a "decade"; it was a cold, brisk, sunny February (duh). Several friends and I went sledding at Indian Trail Park....it was amazing for so many reasons, but mainly because it was my birthday. I've always loved this day of mine. I don't understand when people don't want to celebrate or recognize their day of birth!? You came into the world that day!? I vividly remember turning 20 as well. I was at Bond University on the Gold Coast of Australia. It was hot and sunny and I was surrounded by amazing, dear friends. And cake!
My twenties were a crazy, silly, frustrating, educational decade for sure. I had some amazing times and I had some devastating times. I am thankful for all those times though because today I am so happy about life and I know my past experiences have taught me so many things. I am slower to jump to conclusions about myself and other people so fast. I am content to let people live their lives the way they want to. I am aware that what makes me happy is not what makes everyone else happy. I don't care so much (ha, maybe when I'm turning 40 I can say "I don't care at all") what other people are thinking about me. I am happy in my own skin. I know I will be alright. Crazy talk. I love it. I am happy right now in my life and I never thought I would be able to say that again and truly mean it. Letting love happen was tricky...I didn't think I could trust that again. With one step at a time I can happily say, scream, I am in love...with life, myself, and even a boy! Cheers to 20s...you were a good time, but I'm happy to say goodbye!

Back to work!

After yet another getaway (this time to a friends wedding in Mexico) I am ready to get back to work. From what the analysts are projecting, 2012 is going to be a good real estate year. So far numbers are already up from last year at this time, except for home sale prices, which are down and that is a good thing. Finally I am able to say I'm putting my money where my mouth is and I am purchasing a condo in the heart of Bar Harbor. It happens to be the place I've been living for the past two years so I know it will be a good fit. Hopefully I'll be showing by example what a great time it is to purchase real estate!

Greenway Court - neighborhood Bar Harbor ME 04609 - Sotheby's International Realty

BACK ON THE MARKET!!!
I love this shingle style home that borders Acadia National Park. Close to town (about a mile) yet tucked into granite outcroppings amongst the pines while overlooking the mountains of Acadia.

thoughts....

"The size of your success is measured by the strength of your desire; the size of your dream; and how you handle disappointment along the way." - Robert Kiyosaki

I would rather be angry than disappointed, but from every disappointment I've encountered I find that something enlightening comes out of it.....

Halloween and more....

Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment. - Buddha

Happy Halloween Darlings....Of course I was Lady Gaga....and was totally in character as well...how fun! I won the costume contest, ha! Willa and Olivia were so cute too, a little pirate and a little parrot! Overall it was a fantastic time and a great way to end the Fall in Bar Harbor.
