Photos! Photos!!

It has been a while, but here I am again.  I'm so excited to share my new headshot done by the talented Mike Perlman of Mike Perlman Photography.  I'm also super pumped that The Swan Agency Sotheby's International Realty has hired Mike for property shoots as well as headshots.  In this day and age of online buyers we really need to make sure our photos are top notch - afterall, a picture is worth a thousand words right?

So far 2013 has been great - there really has not been much of a slow down here on Mount Desert Island and from all the stats I read it looks like the bottom of the market has come and GONE!  This is the perfect time to buy and get in on great deals plus great mortgage interest rates.

Summer time and the living is....

July in Bar Harbor what a crazy place but I love it.  The weather has been fabulous and so has the real estate market!!  Finally I feel like things are really taking off!  I couldn't be happier in my personal and professional life.....what a difference a couple of years makes.  Here are a few things I've been up to....

As June rolls around things are expectedly crazy in Bar Harbor and in my life!  Real estate has been a crazy roller coaster these past few months and I am happy to say I have 5 things pending to sell.  My own personal duplex in Trenton will be selling later this month which I am thrilled about - my first little investment property purchased in 2007 is on to another smart buyer.  I am also the new owner of a great in-town condo (that I've lived in the past 2 years), and I'm considering rolling some of my proceeds from the duplex into another condo purchase.  Even though most things in life do not go as planned I am happy that my real estate investing is going as planned.  Turning 30 this year has created a new outlook on life - one where I am focusing on quality not quantity.  I'm working harder in real estate than ever and that seems to be paying off.  My bar tending gig at my best friend's restaurant are tapered back a bit, but I am excited to be working/playing/entertaining there behind the bar one night a week.  Another thing I am grateful for are my nieces who live here in Bar Harbor, Olivia & Willa.  They fascinate me every time I spend time with them, which luckily is a priority for me and quite convenient since they live in the same town as me.  I always thought I would have to move away to find happiness and success - I am glad I was wrong there - I can't imagine not living/working/playing on Mount Desert Island far away from my friends and family.  My sister is expecting another babe in the Fall and I'm crazy excited for that too!  So much can happen in a few years it is hard to believe.
